Struggling to come up with ideas for your wedding day, or what to do for little favours? wanting to do things with a bigger personal touch for your special wedding day??… Well this is the wedding to look at!
I first had the pleasure of meeting Francesca, Chris and their adorable little Mollie when they asked me to do a family photoshoot last year. Straight away we all got on like a house on fire and before I know it Francesca was wanting to book me for her wedding day the following year! I felt so honoured that she had asked me to photograph her Wedding Day as I feel we had gone through the whole journey together and we had become more friends than more so clients.
Francesca and I met up closer to the date to discuss her plans for the big day and I was blown away by the detail that she had gone to make this such a memorable day. With wanting something particularly close to her heart she decided to have the venue at her parents house next to Amerton Farm, Staffordshire. The conversation flowed with fantastic ideas of her own designs from afternoon tea, cake, flowers and how she was putting a little bottle of scrumpy cider on each of the tables for favours. Francesca even provided flip flops for her guests for when their feet got tired towards the end of the evening.
I was so excited to photograph her day all of her ideas sounded phenomenal.

Fast forward a couple of months and the big day arrived. When I arrived to Francesca she was so calm, having her hair and make up done by JW Hair and Sophie Cook . I went up stairs and photographed her dress and wow.. just wow. So elegant and light i knew she was going to look stunning. I love it when a bride gets ready at her parents home – there is always something more personal about it which I love. Whilst I was photographing all of this, my second shooter was with Chris in the couples lovely home in Hixon.
Soon after bridal prep and groom prep we headed to the church where all of the guests were waiting patiently for Francesca and her bridesmaids arrival. When Francesca walked down that isle and Chris looked at her for the first time, his face was priceless and I absolutely LOVE capturing moments like that.
As soon as the wedding ceremony was finished we headed outside and continued to construct the fantastic confetti shot with consisted of a few funny but beaming faces for the couple, which again I LOVE to photograph. They were fab walking down their confetti isle as they greeted their little girl at the end.
Onto the home decorated venue, and just WOW. The whole room was set up to perfection, you never would of known their hired marquee was in the middle of Francesca’s field. The table decorations and the choice of beautiful blush pink flowers fitted perfectly with Francesca’s chosen theme of “Afternoon Tea”. Using Agathas Tea Party Caterers, the choice of their delicate china tea cups and saucers were fantastic .
The day ended perfectly with Francesca and Chris’s first dance as they took in the last details and moments of their day. I am so honoured to be able to capture their Wedding Day and I am so lucky to have the opportunity to work with couples and I cannot thank Francesca & Chris enough for choosing me as their wedding photographer. It was such an honour to capture your day
