16 May Laura & Joe / The Barns, Staffordshire
Laura and Joe’s beautiful wedding was just amazing the whole way through. Being a girly girl myself, I can relate to Laura’s style so much and loved their rustic and blush pink tones throughout the whole wedding day!
I remember walking into the venue room and saying ‘WOW” to all the décor and asked who did it, and to my surprise Laura said “who do you think, me!” ( I should of known really) . Just amazing. Every little detail, Laura thought of it and so much hard work went into this wedding.
Laura picked her beautiful dress from Rebecca Jayne Exclusive Bridal Wear shop in Rugeley and it was just perfect! The blush pink ribbon belt gave the dress the extra sparkle it needed and with the ruffled details towards the bottom of the dress it just looked beautiful on her.
Laura made her wedding cake!.. YES that’s right… made her wedding cake and it wasn’t until I saw Laura getting out of the car on the morning of her wedding carrying the cake that I realised it was the outer décor that was just present. Laura had made a “fake” cake so to speak where the tears were literally just the icing and icing décor and the sponge made separately and cut up into slices for guests . Laura wanted to put her own personal touch on her wedding cake, so by doing this it was more cost effective and meant something more to them both.
These two love birds were fantastic on the day, they were so in love it was fantastic to see. Their venue was based at The Barns in Staffordshire, and being their photographer was such an honour. Family means everything to these guys, so to be able to capture the candits of people laughing and having a fabulous day meant so much to them and to me.
Huge thanks again to Laura and Joe for choosing Sally Ashworth Photography to capture your special day, I loved every minute of it.
